JCSU Faculty and Staff are invited to submit proposals for funding up to $7,500 for research projects that involve students as researchers. Proposals are due September 21, 2015. The full Call for Proposals and Guidelines are available here: SoTLGuidelines_2015-2016.FINAL.GUIDELINES.
The priorities for funding align with JCSU’s institutional priorities and the objectives of the Smith Institute. This year’s priorities include:
- Designing and implementing programs, courses, and curriculum that produce graduates who possess the necessary skills to succeed in a competitive workforce or graduate school;
- Involving students in research that aligns with course and degree learning outcomes and addresses identified needs in the local community; and
- Teaching and learning that engages with the local community to address pressing social issues.
In addition, two competitive priorities for this year’s competition are: Black Males in the Northwest Corridor and Metacognition.
