3rd Annual CASE Summit

December 2, 2016, Johnson C. Smith University will host the 3rd Annual C.A.S.E. (Carolinas Alliance for Success in Education) Summit in the New Science Center. In honor of its keynote speaker, Congresswoman Alma Adams’s flair for hats, the theme will be “Hats Off” to HBCUs in the Carolinas. Break-out sessions will tackle topics related to education, research, and service and include grooming transformational leaders, the plight of the black male, and community-based research. Additional speakers include Dr. Jonathan Livingston, Associate Professor of Psychology at North Carolina Central University,Dr. Kim Hunter, Executive Director of the White House Initiative on HBCUs, Dr. Charles Corprew, WY Revolution, Dr. Denver Malcom0Key, Director of Student Success at Claflin University, and Dr. Tierini Hodges-Murad, Educational Consultant.
