JCSU Releases Research Report on Non-Cognitive Variables

During a Blue Ribbon Colloquium, Johnson C. Smith University released its research findings on non-cognitive variables to an audience of thought leaders, practitioners, and researchers. The colloquium brought together representatives from the Duke Endowment, and Fayetteville State University, to share best practices and strategies around a strengths-based models to support student achievement.

Students admitted to Johnson C. Smith University based on their non-cognitive strengths were featured during a question and answer portion of the program. They self-assessed their strengths, described their experience in the program, and provided inspiration to the group for what success could look like.
