Graduate School Bootcamp Announced

Smith Institute for Applied Research presents its Graduate School Bootcamp: Developing a Curriculum Vitae (CV) and Personal Statement for Your Graduate School. The series will support students in developing a CV and personal statement for their graduate school applications. Students can improve their chances of being accepted into their chosen graduate school! Through this bootcamp, students will engage in activities that allow them dedicated time to plan ahead, ensure that their personal statements are specific to each program to which they apply, and include appropriate activities on their CVs.  Be sure to have your resume and list of graduate schools handy when you register for the Bootcamp by February 17th at 12pm Noon.

Interested students should register by submitting their current resume and list of graduate schools where they plan to submit an application. The deadline to apply is February 17th at 12 pm Noon. The bootcamp meets on Tuesdays at 11am on February 22nd, March 1st, March 8th, March 22rd, March 29th, and April 5th. Students who attend all workshops and submit a completed CV and personal statement will receive an incentive that will be announced shortly- check out smithinstitute.jcsu.edu for updates.

There is a lovely photo of an older handsome gentleman in the 1966 JCSU yearbook discussing graduate school opportunities with a young man who is working towards doing this same thing that your students are doing now on campus in 2022.
